Pads or Tampons?

I am of course addressing this post to women out there ;).

Actually, either one you use is really a matter of personal preference. Here are tips from the experts that are worth knowing.

A scented tampon or pad can be irritating, so skip anything scented since vaginal skin is thinner and more sensitive, said Dr. Streicher, assistant professor of medicine at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine.

It's okay to leave a tampon in overnight but be sure to put in a new one before bed and change it first thing in the morning.
Leaving it in longer than packaging says could up your risk for a vaginal infection like yeast or bacterial vaginosis, or even a urinary tract infection.
If you've had toxic shock syndrome (TSS) before, stick with pads.
