They say that multiple resolutions can cannibalize each other. But here's to how you can make yourself stick to it once you've chosen one thing that you want to achieve:
When you are in doubt you could achieve them, try lowering your expectations, like setting a lower target or a longer timeline. At least, you are not setting yourself up for a failure and you are still up for the challenge.
In setting up your goals, think about what temptations or roadblocks you might face. So, it is always better to have expectations for set backs. When it happens, the setback won't completely let you down.
Choose somebody you know, like a friend or a family member with a similar resolution to whom you can update her on your challenges and successes. There are also instances where people can set aside money as an incentive or reward when they reach their goal :).
