Decreasing The Risk Of Getting/Spreading The Flu

The flu virus can become pandemic in the event that contamination becomes out of control. In the event of a pandemic, try to stay at home from work or school if family members are sick to decrease the risk of spreading the virus.

It is important to note that you can spread the virus to others before your symptoms begin.

Always wash your hands.

It is also a good habit to periodically wipe all railings, counters, door knobs. phones, switches, toys and other areas that are commonly come in contact with sick person with a disinfectant.

Avoid touching your hands to your face, especially if you are in contact with commonly touched areas in public areas.

Turn your face away when others cough or sneeze near you. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, after which clean your hands afterwards with water or disinfectant. Put away used tissues right after use.

You can consider wearing a mask if you have the symptoms to avoid contaminating the virus through coughing and sneezing.

Try to isolate people who have the flu in one room in one part of the home, and away from others who are sick.
