Living Well & Long

If you want to get extra tomorrows, it's not hard. Here's what you can do;

Get a daily of physical activity which not only helps strengthen your bones and hearts, but also teaches balance, vital in preventing falls that are the leading cause of death as we grow older. Humans are designed to be physically active throughout their lives, so don't take it easy on yourself. Try for at least three 30-minute workouts every week and break a sweat.

Get 15-minutes of sun daily. (or take 1,000IU of Vitamin D and 1,000mg. of calcium.) All these help promote bone strength as you exercise.

Choose foods that look the same when you eat them as when they come out of the ground. Phyto chemicals and micronutrients in whole foods are powerful support in the natural rejuvenating processes of the body. Automate your meal choices to create routines that make it easier to eat the right foods. Snacking on healthy foods every few hours help you avoid hunger and overeating.

Get enough sleep. Get sleep more than 7 hours a day. It increases your levels of growth hormone, an important vitality booster. Try simple sleep hygiene such as dimming the lights 15 minutes before bedtime to stimulate melatonin.
