Is It a Nasty Cold Or The Flu?

You cough, you sneeze, and yes, you're sick...but with what? Did you know that the common cold and influenza share a host of similar symptoms?
One important thing to have a knowledge of when you feel the symptoms is to be able to tell the symptoms you are having from that of an H1N1-like virus or just the sniffles.

While a common cold can make you feel awful for a few days, the flu can be more serious and potentiall life threatening. So, the best thing to do when you start feeling sick is to rest, drink lots of fluids, take OTC fever reducers like Tylenol, and suck sore-throat lozenges to numb the pain.

The common cold usually lasts up to 3 days, but if they don't, you've likely hit with the flu. So, be sure to see your doctor ASAP for further treatment and diagnosis and medications.

Common cold symptoms:
stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, cough, headache

Flu symptoms:
stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, cough, headache, fever, extreme fatigue, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.
