How to Rent Better Movies

Choosing movies is always a pleasure. Although nothing can still beat watching a movie in dark, crowded theaters, have you tried accessing a wide variety of films at home?

Buying a reference book that gives short, comprehensive descriptions of films and costs the same as 3-4 bad rentals instead of relying fully on Netflix's recommendations.

Search online what retrospectives are playing, then watch few of your choices at home. Series are often arranged by director or lead actor, one fun way to watch movies.

Ignore award-show hype. Renting recently nominated or winning films will give you something to talk about at the water cooler, but sometimes Oscars are not a reliable indicator of the best movies of all time.
