Fish, Egg Yolks and Dairy Foods

Help fight: Lung Cancer

Vitamin D has anti-cancer benefits by inhibiting the growth of tumor vessels and preventing the spread of tumor cells. Of course, if you smoke, the best way to prevent lung cancer is to quit - 8 out of 10 cases of lung cancer are due to smoking.

Daily Dose: A good way to get vitamin D is through 20 minutes of daily sun exposure, but your ability to produce the vitamin this way decreases as you age. Try to eat foods rich in vitamin D, such as saltwater fish, egg yolks and vitamin D-fortified dairy foods, to make up for what you miss as you get older.
