Lowering/Preventing Your Risks for Drug Interaction

Keep a list of all the medications you take, both prescribed or not. Bring your list with you when you visit your doctor.
If you're taking prescribed drugs, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any interactions before you take OTC medications or supplements.
Have all your prescription medications filled at one pharmacy.
Place all your medications in their original containers so that you can identify them.
When you start taking new medication or refill a prescription, be sure to read all labels and drug warnings carefully.
Always ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions about your medications or how to take it.
