Read on this: According to a research led by Rodney Siegel, people who drank water with finely crushed ice before running in 90F heat can run 10 minutes longer than those who drank cold water.
It's because if your core temperature becomes too hot, it can slow you down, but when your body uses heat to melt the ice, your muscles can stay active longer.

So, before your next hot day-sweat out session, drink 16 ounces of water with crushed ice, 30 minutes before you run.
